The 3’s

Welcome to The 3’s classroom! The ratio in this classroom is one teacher for every twelve children or 2 teachers for twenty-four students. By the time the children reach this room, they are now learning to trace letters, numbers and their own names. They are also learning simple AB patterns, while still making time to learn bible stories, Spanish, sign language, and also enjoying art-time. Each day the teacher writes “Daily Grams”, these will tell you a bit about your child’s day...what they are eating, how long they napped, and such. Teachers also use Daily Grams as a way to communicate whether your child needs any extra supplies. All classroom teachers create and implement their own developmentally appropriate curriculum plan. To see these children during circle time is joyful opportunity, we invite
and encourage parents and family member to come and visit the class during this time any time of the week or on Wednesday morning during chapel time. At 8:00 a.m. each morning St John Preschool provides all children over the age of one with a warm breakfast consisting of milk, cereal and fruit. Lunch is served at 11:00 a.m. and includes milk, vegetable, fruit, grain, and meat. Snack is at 3:00 p.m. We always serve home cooked meals. At meal times they are saying or singing grace. “God is great and God is good, And we thank God for our food; By God's hand, we must be fed, Give us Lord, our daily bread. Amen”.
