About us

St. John Lutheran school exists as a pre-school/ pre-kindergarten school which includes classes for infants and for children ages one, two, three, and four. It is operated as a nonprofit, educational ministry of St. John Lutheran church of Lawton Oklahoma, and is governed by the members of the church.

The Purpose of St. John Lutheran School is first and foremost that God in all things may be glorified through his Son, Jesus Christ. In order to accomplish this in an educational setting, we provide a Christ centered education for the children of Lawton and surrounding communities, who are accepted into our educational program. This education is available to students without distinction of race, color, sex, national origin, socioeconomic status, or religious creed.

St. John Lutheran Preschool is a nonprofit facility. Our current capacity is for 99 children.  Our facility consists of trained staff to care for the children.  All staff attend First Aid and CPR training prior to employment.  We have a total of 16 staff members which includes one Director, one Assistant Director, one cook, three assistant teachers, two breakers, six Master Teachers and two who are actively working towards their CDA (Child Development Associate Credential).

" Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
